Cogeco

Supplier Diversity Program

We at Cogeco recognize that diverse and inclusive environments foster collaboration, stimulate innovation, improve business performance, and help us better support the communities we serve.

We firmly believe that responsible supply chain management has a positive impact on our communities and the environment. This is achieved through the importance we place on local development and procurement, as well as the implementation of our strategy to promote supplier diversification. The establishment of our Supplier Diversity Program intends to provide a fair opportunity for diverse businesses to bid on contracts or enhance their ability to do so.

When will I be contacted by Cogeco?

Once you have filled out the form above, you will receive a confirmation e-mail indicating your registration in our program. The information provided in the registration form will be shared internally within Cogeco so that the relevant parties are informed of new entries in the program.

Please note that your registration does not guarantee that you will be contacted, even if an opportunity arises in your industry. Cogeco bids are not public and are by invitation only. Internal parties are encouraged to use our supplier diversity program during the invitation process for our bids and will reach out directly through the provided contact information if needed.

Can I arrange a meeting with the procurement team to introduce my company?

Due to the large number of requests, we do not organize individual meetings. However, you and other businesses in our supplier diversity program with similar offerings may be invited to introduce your company at occasional roundtable events with our buyers and internal customers.

We have partnered with the Women Business Enterprises Canada Council (WBE Canada) and the Réseau des Femmes d'affaires du Québec (RFAQ) to fast-track our supplier diversity efforts by supporting women-owned businesses. Every year, we participate in numerous supplier diversity industry networking events put on by these two organizations where you could meet with our supplier diversity champions.

Does Cogeco have expectations for its suppliers?

Yes, Cogeco is committed to following the best social, environmental and ethical practices and wishes to conduct business with suppliers who follow the expectations outlined in its Supplier Code of Conduct.

Do I need to be certified by a third party?

Although diversity certification is not a requirement to sign up for the program, we encourage vendors to obtain third-party certification. We recognize certifications from the following national and regional certification bodies and programs in Canada and the United States.
