Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and Sustainability
Elizabeth Alves was named Vice President, Enterprise Strategy and Sustainability in June 2019. Ms. Alves joined Cogeco as Senior Director, Internal Audit, in 2008. She has also held the positions of Vice President, Internal Audit and Vice President, Internal Audit and Risk Management. Prior to joining the Company, she held various positions with ING Canada and began her career in 1995 as an auditor with Arthur Andersen.
Ms. Alves was Chair of the Québec Regional Board of Canadian Women in Communications and Technology from 2014 to 2018. In June 2016, she was elected as Chair of the Board of the Fondation En Cœur, of which she has been a member since 2014.
Vice President, Regulatory Affairs
Paul Beaudry joined Cogeco as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs in November 2020. In this role, he represents Cogeco and its subsidiaries in proceedings before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC) and other federal departments and agencies with respect to broadcasting and telecommunications matters. Prior to joining Cogeco, Mr. Beaudry served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at TELUS in Calgary. He has also practiced competition and foreign investment law at Stikeman Elliott LLP and Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright). He is a former senior policy advisor to the federal Minister of Industry and is a director of the Canadian chapter of the International Institute of Communications.
Mr. Beaudry is a graduate of the University of Montreal Faculty of Law and is a member of the Quebec Bar.
Vice President, Finance
France De Blois joined Cogeco in July 2021 in the role of Vice President, Finance. She has extensive and diverse experience in the management of financial operations. Most recently, she was Vice President, Accounting and Control at Harnois Énergies. Over the course of her career, she also worked at Ovivo Inc. and Transcontinental, two publicly traded companies, as head of financial operations. France holds a bachelor's degree in business administration from the Université du Québec in Montreal and holds a CPA, CA designation.
Vice President, Internal Audit
Chantal Frappier was named Vice President, Internal Audit in June 2019. Ms. Frappier joined Cogeco as Director, Internal Audit, in 2009 and was promoted to Senior Director in 2015. She previously held various positions in internal audit and financial compliance with ING Canada and was Assistant Controller at Mayrand Ltd. She began her professional career as External Auditor with Ernst & Young.
Ms. Frappier has sat on the Board of Directors of the Québec chapter of Canadian Women in Communications since 2014 and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Montréal chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors since 2017. She completed her bachelor's degree and postgraduate degree in Accounting Studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Vice President, IT & Digital Strategy
David Gorgas was named Vice President, IT & Digital Strategy in August 2021. He has extensive and diverse telecommunications experience with a unique perspective on business operations spanning 30 years.
Previously, he worked at British Telecom (Braintree, Massachusetts) for over fifteen years where he held several IT management positions. During his career he also worked for US LEC Corporation (Charlotte, North Carolina) and CTC Communications (Waltham, Massachusetts).
David holds a BA in Marketing from Western Connecticut State University.
Vice President, Procurement
Martin Grenier was named Vice President Procurement in 2018. Prior to joining Cogeco he was successively Regional Director, Procurement Canada & Europe and Director, Procurement Strategic Programs for Rio Tinto. Previously, he held various positions in the field of procurement and logistics at Rio Tinto and Alcan, both in North America and Europe.
Martin Grenier holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from HEC Montréal.
Vice President, Treasurer
Julie Latreille joined Cogeco in April 2022 in the role of Vice President, Treasurer. Her 20 years working in treasury has given her a vast experience in negotiation, financing, cash management, pension funds and financial risk management. She has held several treasury positions at CAE and Groupe Laperrière Verreault (GLV) and more recently held the role of Treasurer at BRP.
Julie holds a Master's degree in finance from the University of Sherbrooke and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Vice President, Wireless Solutions and Innovation
Marie Ginette Lepage was appointed Vice President, Wireless Solutions and Innovation, in June 2019. She is responsible for developing and delivering the wireless strategy, creating business development partnerships and alliances and identifying opportunities to develop new areas of growth. Previously, Ms. Lepage was Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Mobile Solutions, at Stingray.
She previously worked for more than a decade at Videotron, where she held several executive roles. After managing Videotron’s mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) wireless service, she led one of the company’s most important strategic projects, the rollout of its mobile network. She also served as Vice President, Product Development as well as Vice President, Broadcasting and Content. Prior to her service with Videotron, Ms. Lepage worked for several major companies, including Alcan, TMG Solutions and Bell.
She holds an MBA from HEC Montréal and a bachelor’s degree in industrial relations from Université de Montréal.
Vice President, Corporate Development
François-Philippe Lessard joined Cogeco in March 2022 in the role of Vice President, Corporate Development. He has extensive experience in operational and advisory roles in the telecommunications and media industry. Previously, he held the position of General Manager of Maskatel as well as other regional subsidiaries of BCE. He also worked for ten years in BCE's strategy, mergers and acquisitions group.
François-Philippe holds a bachelor of science degree in actuarial mathematics from Université Laval, and is a CFA charterholder.
