COGECO PEER 1 AND BRYTLYT PARTNER TO REVOLUTIONISE ENTERPRISE DATA ANALYTICS

Brytlyt combines GPU database & analytics with the latest High-Performance Computing hardware from Cogeco Peer 1, to solve a dilemma many enterprise technology teams face today

LONDON, UK, 25, July, 2017Cogeco Peer 1, a globally recognised specialist provider of colocation, network connectivity, managed hosting, cloud and managed services, today announced its partnership with Brytlyt. Brytlyt provides organisations with Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) database and analytics platform that combines extreme data processing power with ease of use, scalability and integration with legacy systems, using PostgreSQL and their patent pending IP.

The partnership is set to drive a joint commitment to innovation for companies looking to harvest business growth from the latest developments in GPU database and analytics software while simultaneously requiring a level of access and support, which bigger cloud providers do not offer.

Brytlyt and Cogeco Peer 1 are working together to address the core business needs that are driving the adoption of GPU powered insights, while optimising how the hardware and infrastructure is configured to seamlessly integrate with existing investments.

Richard Heyns, CEO of Brytlyt said: “We are very excited to be partnering with Cogeco Peer 1 because of the enormous value our customers will gain from the synergies working together.”

“We have spoken to a number of companies that are very excited about the huge opportunities GPU accelerated databases and analytics promise. However, there are also questions around how they can get access to the most suitable hardware for evaluation, and how this will ultimately be incorporated into existing infrastructure.”

Susan Bowen, Vice President and General Manager, Cogeco Peer 1 adds: “IT teams that have varied data sources, some of which run on old legacy systems, need a product that can integrate this with a GPU database. This is what Brytlyt is offering.”

“Brytlyt is essentially taking GPU database and analytics to the next level by accelerating data insight by several orders of magnitude. Its patent pending IP has been folded in with PostgreSQL, which means they really are a step ahead. This is one of the main reasons we partnered with Brytlyt.”

“Our customers can benefit from huge performance gains out of the box, and also the ability to scale GPU resources up or down as needed. This is now available on Cogeco Peer 1’s cloud platform, so any organisation can now exploit the benefits of parallel processing. It’s exciting for us to be involved in what is a game-changing step for data analytics and insight in the enterprise,” concluded Bowen.
