Awards and recognitions

Cogeco’s advancement on the sustainability front has been recognized by multiple organizations. Here are some examples over the past two years.




In 2023, Cogeco was named to the 2023 Women Lead Here list presented by The Globe and Mail and published in the latest edition of "Report on Business’ magazine." 

This list aims to identify the Canadian companies with the best gender diversity amongst senior executives. This recognition is a testament to Cogeco's commitment to inclusion.


Cogeco is proud to be ranked among the top 5 companies in Canada in Equileap's Gender Equality Global Report & Ranking 2023.

We are pleased to be recognized for our progress in gender equality and disclosure practices. Categories assessed include: workforce representation data, policies and practices that support gender equity and engagement, transparency and accountability.

Cogeco Communications was ranked among Corporate Knights’ 2022 Best 50 Corporate Citizens in Canada, placing it among Canadian companies that are setting the standard for sustainability leadership.s in their respective industries.


Cogeco received approval for its new emission reduction targets from the Science Based Targets (SBTi) as being consistent with levels required to meet the most ambitious goal of the Paris Agreement. This makes Cogeco the first telecommunications company in Canada with SBTi-approved targets.


Cogeco Communications continues to hold the ISS Quality-Score environmental badge, which recognizes our environmental disclosure practices.


Sustainalytics Top Rated Company (ESG Industry Top Rated & ESG Regional Top Rated)

Cogeco Communications continues to be part of the Jantzi Social Index by Sustainalytics, consisting of 50 Canadian companies that passed a set of broadly-based ESG rating criteria.


Cogeco won the inaugural PROSPÈRE award in the Employer Builder category at the first edition of the Gala Prospérité Québec, organized by the Conseil du patronat du Québec. This award is given to an employer who has built and maintained a culture based on values and excellence in the management of its human resources.
