COGECO CONNEXION SALUTES THE SUCCESS OF THETFORD MINES’ LA CACHE DU DOMAINE HOTEL COMPLEX

Montreal, October 18, 2016 Cogeco Connexion is pleased to note the outstanding contribution of La cache du Domaine to the prosperity and outreach of the business community in the Thetford Mines region.

Through its “Celebrating Amazing Businesses” campaign, which will unfold throughout the fall, Cogeco Connexion seeks to showcase local business leadership in the regions it serves with a series of recognition activities honouring a number of inspiring companies that have distinguished themselves by their competitiveness, outreach and commitment to their community.

Among these inspiring organizations, Cogeco Connexion has chosen La cache du Domaine, a hotel complex focused on the practice of nautical activities such as wakeboarding and waterskiing.

La cache du Domaine, which opened earlier in 2016, is a recreational complex that includes a 4-star hotel with 56 luxurious rooms, 2 restaurants and, most importantly, an aquatic basin large enough to accommodate national and international competitions.

Aficionados of these sports and entrepreneurship, the owners merged their passions, launching this company, which led to the creation of more than 55 jobs in a region seeking revitalization. It made it possible to turn Thetford Mines into a nautical sports destination in Québec, while meeting the need for tourist accommodations in the region.

“It took us more than thirteen years to achieve our dream and turn our passion into a complex specializing in nautical sports. The process was arduous, but we believed in it and never gave up,” stated Sébastien Blais, Director of Operations, La cache du Domaine, adding: “Beyond the dream, to have succeeded in creating jobs and keeping young people in the region is such a source of pride and the greatest reward we could have.”

“We are proud to honour local businesses who contribute to the growth of communities where we invest, work and live,” asserted Antoine Shiu, Vice-President, Business Market Sales, Cogeco Connexion, adding: “This campaign further strengthens the position of Cogeco Connexion as a leader in the field of communications and technology — a company distinguished by customer relations rooted in trust and strong ties to the communities we serve.”
