Vice President, Regulatory and Government Affairs
Paul Beaudry joined Cogeco as Vice President, Regulatory Affairs in November 2020 and became responsible for Government Affairs in September 2023. In this role, Paul leads Cogeco's public policy efforts and represents the company and its subsidiaries in telecommunications and broadcasting proceedings before the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC). He is also responsible for matters involving ISED, Canadian Heritage, the Competition Bureau, the Copyright Board and other government departments and agencies.
Prior to joining Cogeco, Paul served as Director of Regulatory Affairs at TELUS. He has also practiced competition and foreign investment law at Stikeman Elliott LLP and Ogilvy Renault LLP (now Norton Rose Fulbright). Paul is a former senior policy advisor to the federal Minister of Industry. He sits on the boards of directors of the Institut national de santé publique du Québec, the Cable Public Affairs Channel (CPAC) and Fondation La rue des Femmes, and he is a member of the Governors Council of Golf Canada.
Paul is a graduate of the University of Montreal Faculty of Law and is a member of the Quebec Bar.
Vice President, Finance
Mélanie Daigle joined Cogeco in October 2023 in the role of Vice President, Finance. She has more than 18 years of experience in finance. Just recently, she was Vice President of Finance at the APP Group, a company operating in the retail sector. She has equally occupied the positions of Senior Finance Director and Director of Accounting at Reitmans Canada.
She has a bachelor’s degree in business administration from HEC Montreal and is a certified CPA.
Vice President, Internal Audit
Chantal Frappier was named Vice President, Internal Audit in June 2019. Ms. Frappier joined Cogeco as Director, Internal Audit, in 2009 and was promoted to Senior Director in 2015. She previously held various positions in internal audit and financial compliance with ING Canada and was Assistant Controller at Mayrand Ltd. She began her professional career as External Auditor with Ernst & Young.
Ms. Frappier has sat on the Board of Directors of the Québec chapter of Canadian Women in Communications since 2014 and has been a member of the Executive Committee of the Montréal chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors since 2017. She completed her bachelor's degree and postgraduate degree in Accounting Studies at the Université du Québec à Montréal.
Vice President, Procurement
Martin Grenier was named Vice President Procurement in 2018. Prior to joining Cogeco he was successively Regional Director, Procurement Canada & Europe and Director, Procurement Strategic Programs for Rio Tinto. Previously, he held various positions in the field of procurement and logistics at Rio Tinto and Alcan, both in North America and Europe.
Martin serves as a board member to the Women Business Enterprises Canada Council, a Canadian non-profit organization that is opening doors for Canadian women-owned businesses to supply chains.
Martin Grenier holds an MBA from Université du Québec à Montréal and a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from HEC Montréal.
Vice President, Treasurer
Julie Latreille joined Cogeco in April 2022 in the role of Vice President, Treasurer. Her 20 years working in treasury has given her a vast experience in negotiation, financing, cash management, pension funds and financial risk management. She has held several treasury positions at CAE and Groupe Laperrière Verreault (GLV) and more recently held the role of Treasurer at BRP.
Julie holds a Master's degree in finance from the University of Sherbrooke and is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA).
Vice President, Corporate Development
François-Philippe Lessard joined Cogeco in March 2022 in the role of Vice President, Corporate Development. He has extensive experience in operational and advisory roles in the telecommunications and media industry. Previously, he held the position of General Manager of Maskatel as well as other regional subsidiaries of BCE. He also worked for ten years in BCE's strategy, mergers and acquisitions group.
François-Philippe holds a bachelor of science degree in actuarial mathematics from Université Laval, and is a CFA charterholder.
