Peer 1 Hosting’s Sheila Bouman Named Finalist in YWCA Metro Vancouver’s
2014 Women of Distinction Awards
Bouman Recognized for Creative Business Acumen and Commitment to her Local Community
Vancouver, British Columbia April 29, 2014 Peer 1 Hosting, the global web infrastructure and cloud
hosting provider, today announced that Executive Vice President and Managing Director Sheila Bouman
is a finalist in YWCA Metro Vancouver’s 2014 Women of Distinction Awards in the Business and the
Professions category. The award program honors individuals and organizations whose outstanding
activities and achievements contribute to the well-being and future of the Vancouver community.
Finalists will be honored at an awards reception on Tuesday, June 3 where the award recipients will be
announced.
Bouman is recognized as an active member in her local community and an incredibly talented
businesswoman who continuously drives innovation at Peer 1, specifically through her ability to
transform the company’s strategic direction. Sheila’s vision and creativity has ensured that Peer 1’s
people are engaged, committed and inspired to do and be their best. She encourages her peers to reach
their full potential and bring their whole authentic-selves to work, and is an active role model by
bringing her passion for youth, education and physical health and wellness to the office. To align her
personal passions with her volunteer work, she’s been an active member of several local youth- and
education-related organizations, including ViaSport, the BC Organization Develop Network and the
North Vancouver School Board of Education.

The Women of Distinction Awards is YWCA Metro Vancouver’s premier fundraising event, recognized as
one of Canada’s most prestigious awards for women. The awards dinner will be held on Tuesday, June 3
