Cogeco Cable to offer HBO Canada
Montréal, September 25, 2008 — Cogeco Cable (TSX: CCA) today announced the launch of
HBO Canada on its Digital and High Definition (HD) Television services. Starting October 30,
HBO Canada will be offered to the majority of Cogeco Cable Digital Cable customers in Ontario
and Québec. HBO Canada HD, as well as some HBO Canada programming on an On Demand
basis, will also be offered to the majority of Cogeco Cable Digital Cable customers in Ontario.
“HBO enjoys a great popularity in the US. We are pleased to bring HBO Canada to our
customers and to give them the choice to watch even more of what they want. As Digital and
HD Television become increasingly mainstream, Cogeco Cable continues to invest in the
technology to ensure its customers have access to the most interesting and relevant

Planning of Cogeco Cable.
Launched by The Movie Network, HBO Canada is a multiplex channel that delivers the HBO
experience to Canadians with exclusive programming from one of the best-known entertainment
brands in the world. Although some HBO content was previously available on The Movie
Network, HBO Canada will be home to all new series and the latest seasons of marquee HBO
series and will boast more than 200 hours of new and never-before-seen content – from original
films and documentaries to comedy specials, live concerts and sporting events – and will also
feature content from HBO’s exclusive collection of sought-after programming.
Starting October 30, Cogeco Cable Ontario Digital Cable customers who subscribe to The
Movies Package will get HBO Canada at no additional cost and be able to access HBO
programming on demand at no additional cost through The Movie Network OnDemand from the
main menu of Cogeco On Demand. Plus, those who also subscribe to the HD package in
Ontario will get HBO Canada HD at no additional cost.
In Québec, HBO Canada will be offered at no additional cost for subscribers of The Movie
Network.
