Cogeco’s High Speed Internet in Ontario gets a boost
Montréal, August 4, 2009 – Cogeco Cable Inc. today announced an upgrade to its High Speed
Internet (HSI) offering. Effective immediately, many customers in Ontario will enjoy faster service and
increased downloading and/or uploading capacities (bit caps). Cogeco Cable’s competitive HSI prices
remain unchanged.
Subscribers of the Lite, Lite Plus and Standard packages will benefit from increased downloading and
uploading speeds. Furthermore, Lite Plus and Pro Ontario customers will benefit higher bit caps. The
upgrades – summarized below – retain speed and price value leadership for Cogeco Cable, meet
customer demand for increased pe rformance and ensure an optimal customer experience.

Prices will remain the same despite significant upgrades in speeds and bit caps. And Cogeco Cable
customers save even more when they bundle services. Customers who also subscribe to Cogeco
Cable’s TV and/or Digital Telephony services can save between $5 and $9 a month on HSI. And for a
limited time, Cogeco Cable offers the Lite package (bundled with other Cogeco services) at $23.95 a
month for 12 months and the Standard package (bundled) at $39.95 a month for 12 months. Modem
rental is included at no additional charge and the Standard and Pro packages include the Cogeco
Security Services suite.
