COGECO CONNEXION ENHANCES ITS TV OFFERING IN SEVERAL REGIONS OF QUEBEC

Montréal, January 30, 2017 – Cogeco Connexion is proud to announce the launch of new HD television channels in several regions of Quebec including the Gaspé and Matane areas in the Gaspésie region, the Plessisville area in the Centre-du-Québec region, the Valleyfield area in the Montérégie region, and in the Estrie region, all at no additional cost to its current customers subscribing to corresponding standard definition channels.

Customers now enjoy an image of superior quality on several of their favourite television channels, depending on their individual selections. Channels such as SportsNet World HDBeIN Sports HDWWE Network HDAMC HDCNN HDSlice HDDiscovery Channel HD and The Movie Network (2-3-4) HD have been added to the Cogeco Connexion offering.

The choice of French-language HD channels has also been enhanced, notably through the addition of TVA Sports 2 HDRDS 2 HDCASA HD, Telemagino HD and Super Écran (3-4) HD, in sectors where they were not previously available. The Cogeco Connexion portfolio now has up to 135 HD channels depending on the region.

Moreover, since December 1st last, consumers can choose the individual channels they really want, developing a package customized to their interests. In fact, in keeping with the new requirement of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC), all channels offered by Cogeco Connexion are now available either as a unit or as part of small packages, in all of its Quebec markets.
