Cogeco Communication Inc. announces a leadership succession at Cogeco Peer 1

Susan Bowen named President of the Company’s
Business information and communications technology services subsidiary

Montréal, July 30, 2018 – Cogeco Communications Inc. (TSX: CCA) (“Cogeco Communications”) is pleased to announce the appointment of Susan Bowen to the position of President of Cogeco Peer 1, effective September 1, 2018. Ms. Bowen is currently Vice President and General Manager, Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) at Cogeco Peer 1. This change in leadership follows the appointment of Philippe Jetté, current President of Cogeco Peer 1, to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Inc. and Cogeco Communications Inc., announced on May 15 and effective September 1, 2018.

In her mandate as President, Ms. Bowen will continue to focus Cogeco Peer 1’s activities around priorities such as sustaining revenue growth, improving operational efficiency and ensuring a return on investments. “As results at Cogeco Peer 1 strengthen, Susan’s proven track record in driving business value, as well as her commitment to operating efficiently, make her the ideal candidate for this position,” stated Louis Audet, President and Chief Executive Officer of Cogeco Inc. and Cogeco Communications Inc.

Susan has been spearheading Cogeco Peer 1’s strategic and tactical direction in the region. Her strong focus on helping customers scale their business to achieve critical business objectives has made her a trusted advisor and a leading voice in the industry, in the United Kingdom and beyond,” added M. Jetté. “Under Susan’s leadership, the team will continue to concentrate on building and offering a relevant suite of solutions in a constantly evolving and intensely competitive market.”

Prior to joining Cogeco Peer 1, Susan was Chief of Staff at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE), and responsible for leading HPE’s UK & Ireland growth and SMB program. She is the proud Chair of techUK’s Women in Tech Council and has a Post-Graduate certificate in Education from the University of Greenwich, a Master’s Certificate in Project Management from George Washington University, and a Bachelor of Science in Business Information Systems from the University of Portsmouth.
